German ski team sets Olympic goal of at least 15 medals
The German ski team aims to snatch at least 15 medals at the Sochi Winter Olympics, the national ski association (DSV) said Wednesday.

"Through teamship, we have the ability to win medals. We want to contribute to a successful German Olympic team," said General Secretary Thomas Pfueller in Eching, near Munich.

The athletes will receive 25,000 euros (29,200 dollars) for a gold medal, 15,000 euros for a silver medal and 10,000 euros for a bronze medal.

"The benchmark, set in Vancouver, is again set very high with a goal of 15 medals," said DSV President Alfons Hoermann.
