Petr Sedov and Irina Khazova of Russia win free technique competitions in Muonio
The 10 km 15 km free technique competitions in Muonio, Finland went to Petr Sedov and Irina Khazova both of Russia.

The previous two races had been swept by Justyna Kowalcyzk (POL) and Alexey Poltoranin (KAZ). Kowalczyk was a surprising 24th today and Poltoranin did not start.

Sedov won by just 7.8 seconds over Matti Heikkinen of Finland in a time of 34:56.5. In third, was another Finnish skier Tero Similae +10.9 from the lead.

In the ladies' competition Justyna Kowalczyk's finished a surprising 24th place, over a minute and half behind the winning time of Irina Khazova. Khazova, the unexpected winner on the day won by almost 30 seconds over fellow Russian teammate Yulia Tchekaleva who too second place +28.3 sec back. In third was Eva Vrabcova-Nyvltova of the Czech Rebpublic +49.5 seconds off the lead.
