Sundby races into record books with World Cup finals victory
Norway's Martin Johnsrud Sundby with his win today in Falun became the first skier to win all three Tour competitions in one season.

Sundby won the mini-tour in Kuusamo to start the season, and then became the first Norwegian male to win the Tour de Ski in January, and today he won the World Cup Finals mini-tour to wrap up the 2013-14 season.

Canada's Alex Harvey started today's 15 km pursuit start with a 26 second advantage over Sundby and Russia's Alexander Legkov. Both Sundby and Legkov made up deficit around the 5 km mark of the competition. Then it became a tactical battle between the three top athletes which in the end went to Sundby. Legkov attacked with about 2 km remaining and was matched by Harvey and Sundby and then followed by Sundby with an attack of his own which separated the top three. Harvey was able to close the gap but another attack by Sundby on the final major climb on the course sealed his victory and he arrived at the finish unchallenged. Harvey hung on for second place and moved into third in the Overall World Cup standings ahead of Norway's Chris Andre Jespersen. Legkov was third on the day and remained in second place in the overall standings.
