Moll and Douschan win Austrian Nationals
Susanne Moll and Hanno Douschan are the new Austrian SBX Champions. While Moll, a 27-year-old athlete from the state of Vorarlberg earned her career's fourth after 2003, 2005 and 2010 ahead of de-throned Christine Holzer and Sophia Ganal, it was the first title for Douschan.

The 25-year-old from Carinthia placed seventh in the men's race earning the honours of best placed Austrian of yesterday's race on the Pitztal glacier with Jakob Dusek taking second and Markus Schairer and Nathanael Mahler tying for the third.

After placing third in the small final, Douschan said: “I'm happy that I kicked off my season with the national title win. I was eye on eye with all other athletes although I wasn't as fit as I wanted to be this week being in frail health.”

A star-studded field of international athletes had entered the competition at the Mittelbergjoch, which served as training ground for many teams from all over the world over the past weeks, after the Montafon World Cup opener had been postponed due to the lack of snow and warm temperatures.

On the women's side, 2014 Olympic Champion Eva Samkova (CZE) won ahead of Raffaella Brutto (ITA) and Belle Brockhoff (AUS) while 2014 SBX World Cup Title Champion Omar Visintin came out successful of the men's final relegating two-time World Champion Alex Pullin (AUS) and Kevin Hill (CAN) to second and third.
