Aerials competition first up for Kreischberg World Championships
KREISCHBERG, AUT - The first medal event of the Krieschberg 2015 FIS Freestyle Ski and Snowboard World Championships gets underway tonight, with aerials competition taking place immediately following the opening ceremonies of the championships.

Qualifications took place on Thursday night, with Danielle Scott (AUS) leading the way for the ladies and Ilya Burov (RUS) taking top qualification honours for the men.

Both Xu Mengtao (CHN) and Qi Guangpu (CHN), the defending world champions from Voss 2013, also made it through to the finals, although for Qi it was by the barest of margins, as he missed the landing in his final jump but squeaked through in 12th place based on the difficulty of his jump and his excellent form in the air.

Aerials competition from Kreischberg begins at 18:00CET
