Next win for Daniela Iraschko-Stolz
Daniela Iraschko-Stolz also won the second ladies' competition in Oberstdorf. With 97.5 m and 89.5 m and 234.3 points, the Austrian came in ahead of local hero Carina Vogt again. Canadian Taylor Henrich achieved the first podium result of her career in third.

Iraschko-Stolz was happy: “I’m very happy about the two wins here in Oberstdorf. It was a great fight with Carina today, it was so close in both rounds. It’s also amazing to have the green laser line. For me it was really good because I landed on it in both rounds. We didn’t have so much speed today and at the end of the competition we had a lot of tail wind so it was really hard to jump far.”

Olympic Champion Vogt got closer to her Austrian rival than in the first competition with 96.5 m and 91 m, but at the end she missed the home win by only 0.6 points. Vogt said: ”I think I had two great jumps today. It was a tough competition with tail wind and not that much speed. Congratulations to Daniela, she had two very good jumps. It’s a good feeling to be on the podium twice in front of the home crowd, I’m happy about these results.”

Taylor Henrich jumped on 93 m and 95.5 m for 228.6 points and said: “I’m really exited. I’m happy I jumped really well here. It’s actually been televised in Canada, so I’m pretty exited about that. Being able to be on the podium is just an awesome feeling. I’ve been training really hard and jumping really well in training I just wanted to compete the same way that I train.”

Seifriedsberger fourth again

Like on Saturday, Jacqueline Seifriedsberger came in fourth with 89 m and 90.5 m and 215.1 points. Two points behind, overall World Cup winner Sara Takanashi, who jumped on 90 m and 90.5 m, missed the podium in fifth. The excellent team result for Austria was completed by Eva Pinkelnig (205.9 points) in sixth and Chiara Hoelzl (194.7 points), who shared the eighth place with Nita Englund. Spela Rogelj was seventh with 202.5 points. Yuki Ito came in tenth with 192.2 points.

Big German team

Behind the two Slovenes Eva Logar and Maja Vtic, French Julia Clair was 13th, Irina Avvakumova was the best Russian in 15th. With Juliane Seyfarth, Gianina Ernst, Anna Haefele, Katharina Althaus, Svenja Wuerth, Henriette Kraus and Ulrike Graessler seven Germans were in the final third of the Top 30 on the places 20, 23, 25 to 27, 29 and 30. 15-year-old Kraus could score World Cup points for the first time in her career.

Daniela Iraschko-Stolz now leads the overall World Cup with 442 points ahead of Sara Takanashi (401 points). Carina Vogt follows in third with 388 points.

The next World Cup competitions will take place next weekend in Hinzenbach (AUT).
