Daniela Iraschko-Stolz wins in Rasnov
Daniela Iraschko-Stolz won the ladies' World Cup competition in Rasnov (RUM). With jumps on 94 m and 92.5 m and a total of 239.1 points, the Austrian came in ahead of Japanese Sara Takanashi and Maren Lundby of Norway. Olympic Champion Carina Vogt came in eighth.

The winner was enthusiastic afterwards: “It’s a perfect place here for ski jumping, the best crowd of this World Cup season so far. The hill was well prepared and we are staying in a perfect hotel. My jumps were pretty good today. It was not so consistent in the training yesterday but for today I changed my inrun position and I felt much better. It worked hard and I’m really happy I could win again. This is the best season I’ve ever had.”

Takanashi back on the podium

Sara Takanashi had two jumps on 94 m for 234.9 points that earned her the second place. She said later: “I'm very motivated right now. I'm still not satisfied with my jumps, but I'll keep on working on it.”

Maren Lundby, in the lead after the first round, was on the podium in the World Cup for the second time in her career with 94.5 m and 89 m and 230.9 points. She achieved her first podium result in Rasnov last year. Lundby said: “I felt good today, the start of the season was not so good for me. I was already jumping better last weekend and now I could further improve my performance. I think that the second jump was not as good as the first one, but even the first jump could have been better.”
