The penultimate competition of the Cardrona 2018 Junior Freestyle Ski & Snowboard World Championships went down on Wednesday afternoon as the athletes of Alpine snowboarding took to the gates for some parallel giant slalom action, with Russia ruling the day by taking five of six medals, including golds for Milena Bykova and Dmitry Loginov.
The world’s best freeskiers will be on hand at Cardrona Alpine Resort this week to compete in the final competition of the Audi quattro Winter Games New Zealand - a competition which will also kick off the brand new 2018/2019 season.
U.S. national team skiers Jessie Diggins and Simi Hamilton won Merino Muster 2018. In total, there were 288 skiers from 19 nations taking part in the New Zealand competition.
