The penultimate competition of the Cardrona 2018 Junior Freestyle Ski & Snowboard World Championships went down on Wednesday afternoon as the athletes of Alpine snowboarding took to the gates for some parallel giant slalom action, with Russia ruling the day by taking five of six medals, including golds for Milena Bykova and Dmitry Loginov.

The world’s best freeskiers will be on hand at Cardrona Alpine Resort this week to compete in the final competition of the Audi quattro Winter Games New Zealand - a competition which will also kick off the brand new 2018/2019 season. 

The second edition of Fiemme Rollerski Cup will see many champions take part in the races on 15th and 16th September in Ziano di Fiemme (ITA). 

U.S. national team skiers Jessie Diggins and Simi Hamilton won Merino Muster 2018. In total, there were 288 skiers from 19 nations taking part in the New Zealand competition.

The Audi quattro Winter Games NZ in full swing in Cardrona are in full swing. 

With the first week of the championships already in the books, medals in ladies’ and men’s Freeski and Snowboard big air and in ladies’ and men’s ski and snowboard cross have been awarded in Cardrona to date. 

Heavy winds forced the postponement of Saturday’s scheduled ladies 2018 FIS Junior big air World Championships competition first to Sunday, and then again to Wednesday, as officials and organizers fought to rebook the event within the confines of a packed Audi quattro Winter Games NZ schedule.

The 2018 Australian winter has been amazing and it was no exception for the 28th Kangaroo Hoppet at Falls Creek today.
