Clear win for Severin Freund

Severin Freund won the first World Cup competition in Nizhny Tagil. With jumps on 132 m and 134 m and a total of 260.0 points, the World Champion took a clear win ahead of Peter Prevc and Joachim Hauer. It was his 20th win in the World Cup.
Hirscher reigns supreme in Val d'Isère

It was a wild finish in the men’s Audi FIS Alpine World Cup giant slalom race in Val d’Isere (FRA), but in the end it was a familiar name topping the field as Austrian Marcel Hirscher took his second straight giant slalom victory with an impressive 1.29 seconds margin of victory.
Vonn takes Are GS as Shiffrin misses race after warmup crash

Lindsey Vonn held onto her lead after the first run to win the third World Cup giant slalom of the season on Saturday. The overall World Cup leader sped down the Olympia course, which was shortened because of strong winds at the top, to clock a combined time of 2:04.70 to edge out Austria's Eva-Maria Brem (+0.07) and Italy's Federica Brignone (+0.35) at the top of the timesheets.
Johaug wins big in Davos

After the 2.2 km timing point it was already evident that it would be a competition for second place in today's 15 km free technique event in Davos, Switzerland. Norway's Therese Johaug at just 7 minutes into the race had a 21 second lead and it increased to 1:10 by the finish line
Iraschko-Stolz wins her first competition this season

Daniela Iraschko-Stolz won the first FIS Ski Jumping World Cup Ladies in Nizhny Tagil. The overall World Cup winner won with jumps of 92,5 and 97,0 metres, resulting in 242,6 points. Iraschko-Stolz celebrated her first win of the season ahead of Sara Takanashi and her team mate Eva Pinkelnig.
Sundby digs deep for Davos victory

Martin Johnsrud Sundby of Norway proved again why he is the best in the World for the past two seasons. Sundby won today's 30 km free technique competition in Davos, Switzerland by +20.7 seconds ahead of France's Maurice Manificat. Sundby and Manificat battled back and forth for most of the competition and were 4 times in the same second at timing points
Chapuis thrills home crowd and Holmlund goes two-for-two in Val Thorens

Jean Frederic Chapuis (FRA) thrilled a chainsaw, flare, and siren-wielding crowd, finally scoring a win on the course that bears his name, while Anna Holmlund stepped up to make it two wins in two tries in the second of back-to-back Audi ski cross World Cup races this weekend in Val Thorens, France.

Matthews and Kingsbury take wins at Ruka dual moguls World Cup opener

It was an historic afternoon in Ruka (FIN) for the first moguls World Cup of the 2015/16 season as 23 years old Mikael Kingsbury (CAN) put his name in the history books with his 29th World Cup win, while in the ladies’ competition the USA's Mikaela Matthews showed extreme determination on her way to scoring the first victory of her career.
