All-russian public organization «Freestyle Federation of Russia» was founded in 1992.

Freestyle Federation of Russia is recognized by FIS to be the only public organization that own exclusive rights of developing and controlling freestyle on the territory of Russian Federation and the right of representing Russian Federation in international organizations and Olympic movement.

Federation is an all-russian organization and it acts on the territory of 17 subjects of Russian Federation. Federation acts through its structure departments - regional organisations.

It was founded with an objection of developing, propaganda and popularisation of freestyle in Russia.
