Simon Ammann: "It was a tough fight"
After his serious fall at the final event of the 4-Hills-Tournament in Bischofshofen, Simon Ammann now made his comeback at the World Championships in Falun. And although he could not achieve top results there, the competitions in Sweden were an important step for the Swiss after the long break.
"If you wait too long, the fear can get really big. That's why this was an important fight I needed to face", the four time Olympic Champion is quoted on blick.ch. Especially positive was the jump on 127 m in the team competition. "Such a jump gives me strength.
Right after the team event, Simon Ammann announced that he will also participate in the next World Cup competitions in Lahti, Kuopio, Trondheim and Oslo. If he will also continue his career after this season is not sure yet. "I have to see what my heart says after the next competitions. For me the chances are still 50:50."
