Austrian team announces two new coaches
That was fast: just a week after announcing his final career end, Christoph Bieler has found a new occupation: he is replacing Falko Krismayr as the Austrian jumping coach.

„This has not been a topic for me during the season or during my injury or also at the point during the World Championships when Falko announced his intention to quit at the end of the season. But afterwards, I got the feedback from so many athletes on my team who said ‚you’re going to do this, right?‘ So that was the point I started thinking about it. This is a very attractive opportunity for me.“

Former Nordic Combined athlete Jochen Strobl, who has been the head coach of the Italian team for the past two seasons, will replace Thomas Baumann who quit his position as the team’s cross-country coach.

„It is a big challenge for me to become a Nordic Combined coach in Austria. We have a team with younger and older athletes who complement each other very well. I am convinced this team has a huge potential to deliver top results in the future as it has already been the case in the past.“
