The Polish Ski Association had been looking for candidates for the post of Nordic Combined coach to the Youth team consisting of Adam Cieslar, Pawel Slowiok, Szczepan and Kacper Kupczak as well as Michal Gut-Chowaniec. After the deadline for applications to be sent in ended on May, 10th, the federation now announced the chosen candidate.

Former athlete Mateusz Wantulok will be the new coach, following in the footsteps of Jan Klimko. Wantulok had still competed in the national championships in March and achieved a second rank behind Adam Cieslar, The 27-year-old graduated from the Katowice Academy of Physical Education, majoring in physical education and will now receive a three-year contract until the Olympic Games in PyeongChang in 2018.
