USSA honours athletes and leaders
The U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association (USSA) recognised accomplished athletes and leaders on 16th May 2015 at the annual Chairman’s Awards Dinner during the USSA Congress.

Olympic and World Championship gold medal-winning moguls skier Hannah Kearney was honoured by the USSA with the Beck International Award, which is given to the top USSA athlete in international competition. Kearney, who retired after the 2014/15 season, solidified her position as one of the best moguls skiers in U.S. history, winning a total of 46 World Cups over the course of her career and bringing home both the moguls and overall freestyle titles in her final season.

Meanwhile, Cross-Country star and Chair of the FIS Athletes’ Commission Kikkan Randall was presented with the Russell Wilder Award for contribution to youth. Randall has been a pioneer in her sport while also empowering young women through positive experiences in sports through the ‘Fast and Female’ programme.

In addition, Vail Valley Foundation President and CEO Ceil Folz was recognised for her service to the sport. Folz was the key leader behind the successful 2015 FIS Alpine World Ski Championships in Vail-Beaver Creek, and was presented the Bud and Mary Little Award for service to FIS.
