RFEDI riders get ready for new season
The Spanish snowboard cross World Cup team consisting of 2014 World Cup title winner Lucas Eguibar, Laro Herrero and Regino Hernandez who is currently injured has been kicking off their season's team preparations last week.
The trio came together in the High Performance Centre (CAR) in Sierra Nevada, Spain to undergo some medical tests and work hard during a week of physical training.
Team coach Jesus Perez said: “The main objective was to test our athletes and adjust the training according to their physical needs.”
As a result of those tests, every rider had it's individual training programme to undergo in the gym working on endurance and explosive strength.
In addition, the coaching staff also organised some variation to the daily routine by offering recreational activities such as karting or canoeing.

As the work on the physical strength just kicked off, the team will travel to Saas-Fee, Switzerland end of July for a first week on snow.
From August on, the plan is to host alternating training weeks in both, the gym and the best office in the world: snow-covered mountains in order to be well-prepared for the season's opener in Montafon, Austria mid of December.
