FIS is pleased to announce the appointment of Sophie Clivaz as its new Audi FIS Alpine World Cup Men’s Media Coordinator. Clivaz is no stranger to the ski family as she comes to FIS after working for several years with the World Cup and other events in Crans Montana. Marius Robyr, Organising Committee President is sincerely thanked for supporting Sophie’s move to FIS. The Swiss native will begin her new role at the end of this summer.
Nordic Combined Summer Grand Prix 2015
The Nordic Combined Summer Grand Prix 2015 has finalised its schedule with the announcement that the tour will make a stop at the brand-new hill complex in Tschagguns (AUT) in the Montafon region on 2nd September. Lahti 2017
The 2017 FIS Nordic World Ski Championships in Lahti (FIN) has released accommodation information for media wishing to cover the World Championships. http://lahti2017.fi/information-for-media/). In addition, the Organising Committee has appointed Anu Haapalainen as its Media Services Manager.
St. Moritz 2017
The 2017 FIS Alpine World Ski Championships in St. Moritz (SUI) recently announced that they will work with the ticket marketing company Ticketcorner for the World Championships. Instead of a normal ticket, fans will receive a "Skicard" with an integrated chip. This card gives spectators and fans access into the finish area, in addition to being able to book tickets for the mountain railways in the Engadine, all on the same Skicard. Staff changes in Alpine and Ski Cross in Sweden
Sweden has re-shuffled its cards for the upcoming season after the announcement that Swedish Alpine Director Ville Bylin will step down for family reasons. His successor is Tommy Eliasson Winter, who was previously the Swedish Ski Cross Head Coach. Dominik Paris and Kjetil Jansrud receive gondolas
In what has become a summer tradition in Kitzbühel, last year’s winners of the Audi FIS Ski World Cup races were awarded with their personalised gondola at the Hahnenkammbahn valley station.
