FDP Alpine Training Camp underway in Cerro Castor
The FIS Development Programme South America Training Camp got off to a positive start in Cerro Castor (ARG) with excellent snow and weather conditions. Eighteen athletes from Argentina, Chile, Brazil, Greece, Hungary, Latvia, Mexico and Turkey will be training alongside experts in order to prepare for the upcoming season until 2nd August. The programme involves intensive on-snow training and dryland sessions.
Under the framework of the FIS Development Programme, the training camp carries not only a high level training opportunity, but also a social component by uniting young athletes from various National Ski Associations.
Markus Malsiner, camp co-ordinator reported that "we are very happy with the first couple of days of training on snow and are looking forward to continue this way during the next two and a half weeks. We wish all camp participants continued success in their training.”
