2nd Ski and Snowboard Course Builder and Designer Clinic

The 2nd FIS Course Builder and Designer Clinic is scheduled to take place from 3rd-5th October at the headquarters of FIS Service Provider Prinoth in Sterzing (ITA).

The first edition of this productive gathering was held last October in Munich (GER) and saw more than 60 professionals in the area of Freestyle Skiing and Snowboarding course building and planning present for a full two days of seminars.

This season, the clinic will look to increase the knowledge gained from last season while incorporating the innovative technology found at the Prinoth Headquarters.

Uwe Beier, FIS Snowboard Race Director said, “The cooperation with Prinoth for this workshop and during the World Cup season brings a win-win situation with the ability to build courses at a higher level, allowing for better competitions and events.”

Ski Cross Race Director Martin Fiala echoed, “Continuous optimisation of the courses from the viewpoints of safety and efficiency in the construction and competition phase is a high priority as we move the development of the sport forward.”

Safety plays a major role for Prinoth as well. "The partnership with FIS offers the possibility of interesting, two-sided knowledge and experience. We want to pass on our expertise in the park and course preparation, so that the lines can be built faster and above all safer," said Oskar Schenk, Chief Sales Officer of Prinoth.

The workshop in October will be an important step in strengthening the partnership between Prinoth and the FIS. Here, the focus will be primarily on education and training, which will benefit the course designer and builders.
