Anja Tepes ends her career

Slovenia's Anja Tepes has decided to end her ski jumping career.

The 24-year-old was struggling with serious knee injuries over the last couple of years, and that ultimately lead to this difficult decision for her.

"I have no idea how to say this it's really hard for me but that's how it is! One week ago I decided to end my ski jumping career. After 3 years of hard work on rehabilitations and 3 surgeries I been threw they find out I will need to make another one in my nearest future and my knee will probably never be as it should be anymore", Anja Tepes wrote on her facebook page.

The daughter of Miran Tepes, assistant of FIS Race Director Walter Hofer, already has plans for the future: "I will stay in ski jumping I won't jump anymore but I will help kids to become great ski jumpers and live their dreams! And I'm going back on university to train my brains and learn how to be the best trainer and teacher!"

Anja Tepes was competing in the World Cup since 2011, her best results were two eighth places in Ljubno 2013 and in Sochi 2012.
