On the side lines of the FIS Technical Committee meetings in Zurich (SUI) the Morocco Royal Ski Federation and representatives from Sierra Nevada ski resort met with FIS President Gian Franco Kasper and Secretary General Sarah Lewis.

Various activities of the Morroco Royal Ski Federation were outlined including a recent training camp in Les Deux Alpes (FRA) and the homologation of courses in Morroco with the assistance of the Spanish ski resort of Sierra Nevada.

Thanks to the fruitful cooperation between both parties, courses in l’Oukaimeden, the largest ski resort of Morocco located in the high Atlas mountain range, in addition to Michlifen and Jbel Hebri were successfully homologated.

The aim of the Moroccans is to organise ski competitions in the future as a means to promote winter sports in the country.
