Snowboard Team Austria's snowboard cross rider Susanne Moll has just announced that she will call it a day.
The 28-year-old from Andelsbuch said that the 2015-16 snowboard cross World Cup opener in Montafon, Austria will be her career's last event.
After more than 13 years on tour, the rider from Vorarlberg is looking for something new: “I'm not that crazy little chicken anymore. It's hard for me to motivate myself to invest every single minute into training. I'm just looking for a more normal life.”
What it will be, is not official yet. However, it's obvious that there will be some things to miss.
“The traveling was very nice. But on the other side, I'm kind of done with it, too, and I'm looking forward to staying at home.”
Talking about home, there couldn't be a better place to celebrate a career's last result!
Calling the Silvretta Montafon her home, too, and the place of her biggest triumph (“Winning the team event in Montafon three years ago was definitely great!”), the 2014-Olympian will enjoy her last World Cup runs in front of a superb home crowd.
With the coming sbx events counting to her belt, too, Moll will have raced a total of 60 World Cups for Austria which she also represented at six world championships.
