On Tuesday 9th December, the Society of Sport Journalists of Slovenia declared the best sportswoman and sportsman of Slovenia in 2015. The traditional ceremony was held in Culture and Congress Centre Cankarjev dom in Ljubljana. Awards were given to our alpine skier Tina Maze and ski jumper Peter Prevc.

Tina, who had received this prestigious award for the sixth time and three times in a row, had an amazing winter season. She won two gold and one silver medal at the World Championships in Beaver Creek and after many outstanding performances came in second in World Cup overall score.

Peter entertained us with long jumps and flights and in the meanwhile set the world record in Vikersund, Norway. In World Cup he finished fourteen times on the podium in the individual and three times in team events. Like Tina, he concluded his season in second place overall and has won this award for the third consecutive time.
