A few days before the start of the 4-Hills-Tournament, the preparations for the opener in Oberstdorf are on track.

"We already have 100 % of the required amount of snow in the stadium and are currently preparing the facility", explained Dr. Peter Kruijer, chairman of the ski club Oberstdorf and president of the local organizing committee.

According to Stefan Huber of the OC in Oberstdorf, most of the necessary snow was already produced during two cold nights in November. "In these nights we could produce snow in the stadium, this was enough to cover about 80 % of the hill. On Wednesday we transported the remaining 20 % from the snow depot to the ski jumping arena."

The 64th 4-Hills-Tournament will start with the qualification in Oberstdorf on December 28th. The first competition will take place a day later at 5:15 pm CET.
