Lindsey Vonn (USA) is in the hunt to break yet another Alpine record as she tied Annemarie Moser-Pröll’s record of 36 career downhill wins with her victory in the Audi FIS Ski World Cup races in Zauchensee (AUT). Vonn followed up her downhill victory on Saturday with another World Cup win on Sunday in the super-G.

In the ladies’ slalom in Flachau (AUT), which was staged under the lights on 12th January, Veronika Velez Zuzulova (SVK) celebrated her third FIS World Cup victory.

On the men’s Audi FIS Ski World Cup tour, Henrik Kristoffersen (NOR) claimed his third slalom victory of the season in tough conditions in Adelboden (SUI). Saturday’s giant slalom had to be cancelled due to the visibility caused by snowfall and fog, but thanks to the efforts of the Organisers, Sunday’s slalom was still staged.

The first FIS Ski Jumping World Cup presented by Viessmann competitions after the Four Hills Tournament enjoyed enormous crowds as Willingen (GER) provided the Ski Jumping World Cup with an outstanding atmosphere with thousands of spectators cheering Peter Prevc (SLO) onto victory. It was the fourth win in a row for Prevc, who was also crowned the champion of the Four Hills Tournament.

Sabine Schoeffmann (GER) and her teammate Alexander Payer (GER) won the parallel team event in the alpine snowboard FIS World Cup race in Bad Gastein (AUT),which was held as a single run format. It was only the third time that a team PSL event was staged on the World Cup tour.
