In conjunction with the FIS Tour de Ski in Val di Fiemme (ITA), Gerald Fritsche (GER) was recognised with the FIS Journalist Award on 9^th January.

A trusted and loyal editor of the DPA (German Press Agency) which is one of the world’s leading press agencies, Fritsche has covered Cross-Country Skiing, Ski Jumping and Nordic Combined for more than a decade. His coverage began with the 4-Hills Tournament in 2002/03. Since then, he has been a passionate reporter for the Nordic disciplines. Most notably, he covered all ten editions and every stage of the FIS Tour de Ski.

The FIS Journalist Award is presented by FIS for career contributions to the sport of skiing and snowboarding.
