A conference on the topic of good governance was held from 3^rd-4^th February 2016 in Lisbon (POR) in the frame of the EU funded initiative ‘Support the Implementation of Good Governance in Sport’ (SIGGS).

The conference gathered representatives of International, European and National Federations alongside National Olympic Committees.

FIS was represented by its Head of Services, Andy Wenger, who presented FIS’ activities in the field of good governance and participated in a panel discussion focusing on the “way forward towards better governance in sport”.

The SIGGS project is an EU funded initiative organised by the EU Office of the European Olympic Committees with the objective to promote and support good governance in sport by providing practical guidance to sport federations and NOCs.
