Maria Ramberger sustains season ending knee injury

A torn ACL and an injured meniscus suffered in an accident during the time trials for the World Cup sbx race at the Bokwang Phoenix Park, South Korea last Friday put the Austrian athlete back again.

Strong and changing winds had made it hard for the girls to get along with the huge course of the official Olympic test event for the 2018 PyeongChang Olympic Winter Games which finally lead to a cancellation of the qualifier runs.

However, it was the squally wind which also interfered Maria Rambergers first attempt when the sole female national team member couldn't land a jump on the finishing straight and crashed in the roller section.

With a bad ending: the 29-year-old who had celebrated her comeback from a knee injury (ACL) beginning of this season is sidelined from action again for several months.
