Maria Rydqvist finishes elite career

After a long and successful career with World Championship silver, three national championships and many prominent placements in the World Cup, Maria Rydqvist has chosen to end her National team and elite skiing career. Ski Tour Canada was her final tour. The cheerful, dedicated and determined 32-year-old has put colour into both the National team and women's sports.

"It is with mixed feelings, I made the decision to change my life, but I do not feel I want to do the priorities needed to succeed in the World Cup and the Olympics come," says Maria.
