

Norwegian Ski Cross Country has engaged Tor Arne Hetland (42) as head coach of the men round of next season.
Hetland gave himself as skier after the 2009 season. Then we had 42-year-old has been on various NSF-national team since 1992. Hetland is former World Championship and Olympic champion. The last few seasons have Hetland been national coach in respectively Germany, Switzerland and Canada. Through Meråker high school, Nord-Trøndelag University College and diploma trenerutdannelsen from Switzerland (equivalent topptrener study in Norway), he has completed the steps in the formal training ladder.
Hetland has the past year been working together Trond Nystad as coach of the men round. During the season 2015-2016 he has gained knowledge and learned the dynamics of the training group and the Norwegian national system to know.
- Tor-Arne has this year gained great respect for the work he put down among athletes. We know we have made a good choice, and that he is the right man to continue the performance culture that we have developed in the Norwegian cross-country skiing. Tor-Arne will be the guarantor of the good training culture that Martin Johnsrud Sundby and co, with Trond Nystad, have accounted for the final period, says coach Vidar Løfshus.
