Francois Braud captures first national title
Francois Braud has taken his first French national title in the post-Jason Lamy Chappuis era. At the joint French championships of the cross-country skiers, biathletes, ski jumpers and Nordic Combined athletes in Courchevel and Meribel. Braud took the title ahead of Geoffrey Lafarge who ends his career with a great second rank. Youngster Antoine Gerard reached the third place, followed by fellow young athletes Laurent Muhethaler and Tom Balland.

Braud had already been in the lead after the jumping round in Courchevel and proved to be uncatchable on the track at Meribel. „The title was very important to me in the last few years but even when I was in shape, there was always Jason to contend with. This year, it was a shame that Maxime Laheurte could not be on start but I am very happy with the victory.“  At the joint French championships of the cross-country skiers, biathletes, ski jumpers and Nordic Combined athletes in Courchevel and Meribel.
