

The ground-breaking ceremony for the modernization of the Titlis-hill in Engelberg (SUI) was held on Wednesday.
As part of this construction works, that will take until this fall, the take-off table will be moved back four meters and raised for two meters, a new inrun track with an integrated cooling system will be installed and the landing area will be adjusted to the modern requirements.
In addition flood lighting will be installed, that will allow to carry out World Cup competitions also in the evening.
This reconstruction, which shall be completed on time for the next World Cup in Engelberg on December 17 and 18, 2016, will cost 2.9 million Swiss Francs (approx. 2.6 million Euro) and is funded by the national sports facility concept, the Canton of Obwalden, the municipality of Engelberg and private sponsors.
