25-year-old alpine snowboarder Yvonne Schuetz from Switzerland calls it a day and retires from competitive snowboarding.
Main reason for Schuetz has been the non-consideration for the Swiss A-squad. In addition, she said: “I don't have the nerves and financial back-up to add another season.“
Schuetz who has represented her home country at the 2013 world championships placing 21st in both, parallel slalom and parallel giant slalom, joined Swiss Snowboard back in 2007 and has been part of the Pro-Team Alpin last season.
Since the home event in Nendaz back in January 2007, the regular rider has competed in 38 World Cup races with a twelfth rank in Carezza, Italy four years ago being her best result.
