

Johaug had again an exceptional season. She won FIS Tour de Ski, Ski Tour Canada, Holmenkollen 30 km and the Overall and Distance World Cups. In her career she has won almost everything. She is World Champion in 30 km mass start classic, 15 km skiathlon, 10 km free, 30 km mass start free. There is one competition that is missing in her collection.
“I’ve never won individual 10 km classic and I very much want to do so. It means I have to focus even more on classic technique, Johaug said to NRK. Johaug is aware of qualities the competition course in Lahti requires. “ It’s a tough course with some easier sections. It requires good diagonal, double and kick double pole techniques,” Johaug explained.
Former Norwegian national coach Egil Kristiansen works as Johaug’s advisor and believes she can succeed. “She has the capacity that is required, there is no doubt,” he said.
