Lauri Asikainen currently suffers from back problems and will therefore miss the first training camp of his team in Austria.
"Together with the coaches we decided that I'll remain in Finland to train there. At home I have to best conditions in order to continue the training and the rehabilitation together with physio therapist Janne Karppinen", the 27-year-old explains on the website of the Finnish Ski Association.
The rest of the national team and the junior's team will travel to Ramsau am Dachstein, the home town of the new head coach Andreas Mitter, this weekend.
As the Austrian has already mentioned during his first press conference in Finland in April, his athletes shall spend a longer period of time in central Europe this summer in order to use the good training conditions there with the possibility to jump on many different hills without long trips.
