Japanese Nordic Combined star Akito Watabe has been slowed down by a training accident. The 28-year-old broke a bone in his left hand when he fell off a road bike in training. While this means a suboptimal start in the training season, Watabe still hopes to be on start at the Summer Grand Prix 2016.
