Riiber brothers join elite skiers at Audi driving experience
Partnership in action off-season: At Audi’s invitation, international ski stars met for the Audi driving experience at the Audi Neuburg high-tech complex on the past Monday. The athletes demonstrated that they are perfectly able to follow a racing line also on tarmac.
The invitation to the Audi driving experience was extended to athletes who had achieved outstanding results during the past winter sports season. In addition to Lara Gut (SUI) and Henrik Kristoffersen (NOR), the skiers traveling to Neuburg included Viktoria Rebensburg (GER) and Kjetil Jansrud (NOR), as well as Ski Cross Olympic gold medalist Jean-Frédéric Chapuis (FRA), Benedikt Mayr (GER).
Nordic Combined shooting star Jarl Riiber had won the participation in the Audi Driving Experience in the first edition of the Nordic Combined Awards which were held in Schonach in conjunction with the World Cup finals. In the category „Rookie of the Year“, which recognizes break-through performances by young athletes, Riiber beat opponents like Manuel Faißt (GER) and Takehiro Watanabe (JPN).
He was accompanied by his older brother Harald on his trip to Germany. On location, the athletes got to test the Audi RS 6 Avant* and R8 V10 plus* both on the dynamic course and the Neuburg handling course.
