On the 8th July Jõulumäe sport centrecelebrated its 50th anniversary with a summer sprint. For the first time in Estonian history a Cross-Country event on snow took place in the summer.

Organisers prepared a 350 m long track from snow, which had been produced last winter especially for this event. 40 Cross-Country skiers from Estonia, Sweden and Kazakhstan took part including Alexey Poltoranin and Denis Volotka.
