

After 11 years of competing in FIS Cross-Country World Cup Italy's Roland Clara has decided to end his racing career. The 34 year-old skier from Riscone was one of the strongest skiers of the Italian team of the last decade.
The free technique specialist took part in more than 170 individual World Cup competitions. In 2005 Rolland "Rollo" debuted in the World Cup with 11th place at the World Cup in Lahti. Since then he landed eleven times on the podium, three times in the relay and eight times in individual competitions. He recorded one World Cup victory, on the Final Climb of the FIS Tour de Ski 2015.
Rollo participated in five World Ski Championships, Sapporo 2007, Liberec 2009, Oslo 2011, Val di Fiemme 2013, and Falun 2015. He was fifth in the 30km skiathlon in Liberec. Two-time Olympian Clara competed in Vancouver 2010 and Sochi 2014.
