Lindsey Vonn injured in Colorado
Olympic champion Lindsey Vonn announced on Friday that she suffered a severe fracture to her upper right arm. She underwent surgery in Vail, Colo., on Thursday night (10th November). Vonn sustained the injury in a training crash earlier in the day at the U.S. Ski Team Speed Center at Copper Mountain.
"While I am beyond frustrated by this latest setback, at least my knees are ok and I will return to the slopes as soon as possible, as I always do!" Vonn shared with her social media followers.
The U.S. Ski Team says there is no immediate determination as to how long Vonn will be out of action. The Audi FIS Alpine Ski World Cup downhill season kicks off later this month at Lake Louise, Canada.
