Kamil Stoch has just realized one of his childhood dreams and as a reward for his two Olympic medals as well as promotion of Polish Air Force, proudly sporting their symbol on the Olympic helmet, was offered an opportunity to fly in an F-16 Flying Falcon.

Already during the Olympic Games in Sochi, Stoch was offered the possibility by the Polish Ministry of National Defence. Before the flight, double the Olympic champion was obliged to undergo a full scope of medical and aviation examinations, including load factor tests in a specialized high-G training centrifuge and ejection seat simulator, as well as instruction in emergency procedures.

„We have flown for over an hour above the cities of Wroclaw and Poznan. Time went by very quickly. There were some difficult moments, let’s say, but I had a very good pilot, the best one,” said Stoch after the landing. “I was even able to fly the plane myself for a couple of minutes. It is much better than ski jumping. If I only could, I would move here …..” laughed Stoch.
