New President of Royal Spanish Winter Sports Federation
The General Assembly of the Royal Spanish Winter Sports Federation was held on 20th September 2014 at the National Sports Council of Madrid (SPA). During the Assembly, May Peus Espana was elected as the new President of the Federation.
In a close election, he was chosen over Juan Ramon Blanco and Eduardo Roldan who held the position from 2002 to 2014.
During his speech, Peus Espana expressed his thanks to the outgoing President Roldan for his dedication and significant contributions during his twelve-year tenure.
Peus, 42, holds a degree in Business Administration. He was a downhill skier and member of the Spanish National Team in the 1990s before moving on to serve as the National Team Coach. He worked for 19 years at the club CAEI Aran Valley where he was a coach and manager.
Following the election of the President, the Assembly proceeded to the election of the Delegate Committee composed of representatives of presidents of armed forces, clubs, athletes, coaches, judges and technical delegates.
