Mayer will not be at the start of the World Cup Opener in Soelden.
"It's a blessing in disguise. Too bad that I won’t be able to start the giant slalom in Sölden, but the season is just starting and that makes me very positive, " Mayer said after the examination.
We wish Matthias a fast recovery and to see him back on skis in time for the first speed events of the season in Lake Louise at the end of November.
