US teams for 2014/15 now named
USA Ski Jumping announced its teams for the 2014/15 winter season on Wednesday.

The National A Team will consist of Nick Alexander and Nick Fairall, who both showed good performances at the end of this year's summer season and could score FIS Grand Prix points in Hinzenbach (Alexander) and Klingenthal (Fairall).

Anders Johnson, Kevin Bickner and Will Rhoads are on the National B Team. Michael Glasder, Brian Wallace and Alex Haupt were named to the National C Team. In addition there will also be a Junior team with Nick Mattoon, AJ Brown, Trevor Edlund, Miles Lussi and Casey Larson.

"We have a super dedicated group of athletes and all our bases are covered from seasoned World Cup athletes to very promising young, developing talent. We are delighted by what's happening", athletic director Alan Johnson is quoted on usaskijumping.org.

Shortly before the start of the season, head coach Clint Jones explained the plans of the team for the first weeks of the new season. "Our training this summer and fall has been very productive. For the first time, we will be sending athletes to the first World Cup of the winter in Klingenthal. Anders Johnson, Nick Alexander, Will Rhoads and Nick Fairall will be competing there in the team event as well as the individual event. We are really hopeful that they will set the tone for the rest of the winter with some solid results in Germany. The rest of the team will be training in Park City, and will head to Norway in early December to start the COC and FIS Cup events."
