US ladies' team for the new season named
Shortly before the start of the winter season, the US ladies' team for 2014/15 was announced on Thursday. A total of nine athletes is on the US Visa Women's Ski Jumping Team for the new season.
Besides World Champion Sarah Hendrickson also Jessica Jerome, Lindsey Van, Nita Englund, Tara Geraghty-Moats, Abby Hughes, Nina Lussi, Cara Larson and Logan Sankey were named to the team.
“As the inaugural Women’s Winter Olympic event in Sochi, Russia is now behind us, we are embarking upon a new chapter for the U.S. Visa Women’s Ski Jumping Team. I am very proud of what we have accomplished and am excited about our addition of the Fly Girls program, which is the pipeline between our local clubs across the U.S. and our National Team. As this year marks another World Championship season, we are ready for, and looking forward to, this competition series,” said head coach, Alan Alborn, who expects strong results from his team in the coming season.
Like already during this summer, Slovene Vasja Bajc will be the travel coach of the US American athletes.
