Injury ends season early for Marco Grigoli
After a fall last weekend, the 2014/15 winter season is already over for Swiss Marco Grigoli.
The 23-year-old fell at the landing of the first training jump at the Continental Cup in Engelberg on Saturday and sustained a serious foot injury.
"Affected are the bones of the Lisfranc-joint, which were partly comminuted. In addition the ligaments, that keep the toes in position, are torn across the whole breadth of the foot", Marco Grigoli wrote on his facebook page.
The athlete of St. Moritz underwent surgery already and will be sidelined now for at least three months.
