Bad Gastein snow control postponed
As yesterday's snow control in Bad Gastein didn't bring a green light for next week's two events of the FIS Alpine Snowboard World Cup tour, Organisers as well as Officials agreed to come up with a final decision tomorrow.

On Sunday, it will be clarified if the Parallel Slalom (single run) and the Parallel Team Event (PSL) can take place on the Bucheben slope as scheduled.

Franz Weiss, long-time Head of the Local Organising Committee, is still optimistic to run the rehearsal for the 2015 World Championships although the current conditions aren't looking that promising with the given snow pack being pretty thin:

“All the fresh snow has been blown away over the past days, and now, it's too warm to produce artificial snow. We are depending on colder weather and are hoping that the forecasted bad weather front brings some snow. Rain would be disastrous. Nevertheless, we will do everything in our power to host both races.”

Despite the unclear weather prognosis the event programme has been finalised:

January 8, 2015: Public Bib Draw Casino Bad Gastein 8 PM CET
January 9, 2015: Qualifiers PSL 9 AM CET
Finals PSL (single run) 1:15 PM CET
Team Seeding Parallel Team Event 8:30 PM
January 10, 2015: Parallel Team Event 1 PM CET
