Wolfgang Loitzl ends his career
Wolfgang Loitzl announced his retirement during the ski flying World Cup in his home town Bad Mitterndorf.

"I thought about this for the past weeks and now I've decided to retire. I don't have the necessary motivation anymore to show good performances. My feeling tells me it's the right time to end my career", the 34-year-old said at the press conference on Saturday.

The most successful season for the Austrian was 2008/09 when he won the 4-Hills-Tournament and the World Championship title on the normal hill at the World Championships in Liberec. He also took his four wins in the World Cup that same winter. In addition he won six Gold medals in team competitions at World Championships from 2001 and 2013 and Gold in the team event at the Winter Olympics in Vancouver 2010.
