Zangerl on the upgrade
Good news from Thomas Zangerl. Only one day after his tough crash in the ski cross semi finals of the 2015 FIS Freestyle Ski & Snowboard World Championships in Kreischberg, Austria, the national team member is already on the road to recovery.
Although the 31-year-old sustained a fracture of the transverse process in the lumbar vertebra as well as several bruises, the Tyrolean is already thinking of the World Cup season after a quite night in the Privatklinik Hochrum in Innsbruck.
“I can feel my whole body because of all the bruises, but this is normal after such a heavy crash. Nevertheless, I will do my best to come back to the World Cup circuit as soon as possible,” said Zangerl.
However, the Austrian sx champion will miss out the next two stops of the tour in Arosa, Switzerland and Are, Sweden.
