Lake Louise is ready for the start of the speed season

While the winter takes time to arrive in Europe, North America has been blessed by Mother Nature with temperatures below 0°C and lots of snow. The Canadian resort Lake Louise got 50cm of fresh snow in the last 48 hours!

In that context, the official snow control for the Audi FIS Wold Cup races was an easy task for Hannes Trinkl, FIS Race Director. On Monday 16th November, he could confirm that the men’s and the ladies’ speed races could be held in Lake Louise: "The local organising committee has done an awesome job, the slope is in an extraordinary shape."

The speed World Cup Opening in Lake Louise will host men’s races (3 trainings, 1 downhill and 1 super g) on 25th – 29th November 2015 and ladies’ races (3 trainings, 2 downhills, 1 super g) on 1st – 6th November 2015.
