The first period of the FIS Development Programme Alpine Training Camp saw the participation of 21 athletes from 13 nations* in Hintertux and Stubai (AUT) from 18th October–14th November 2015.
With excellent snow conditions, the programme involved intensive on-snow training in the mornings with focus on giant slalom and slalom, followed by dryland sessions in the afternoon to focus on speed, muscular endurance and coordination. The athletes benefited from the knowledge of FIS experts who, besides training, performed video analysis and gave tips on the preparation of skiing equipment.
The FDP Training Camp provided an excellent opportunity for athletes to participate in structured and professional training sessions and with this basis they are well prepared for the upcoming competition season.
